Is each self storage unit the same size?

40 square feet (sq ft) storage unit
This is our smallest storage unit, coming in at 8ft x 8ft x 5ft or 2.45m x 2.45m x 1.52m for those who prefer metric measurements.
It can easily accommodate the contents of a single transit van or garden shed, or between 50 and 75 storage cardboard boxes.
It’s available at our Buckingham, Corby, St Ives and Huntingdon sites.
60 sq ft storage unit
Our next-biggest storage unit has slightly different dimensions: 8ft x 7.57ft x 7.75ft or 2.45m x 2.36m x 2.36m.
It can hold 75 to 100 storage boxes, and is available at our St Ives and Huntingdon locations.
80 sq ft storage unit
We take a leap into the big leagues with this container. It is 10ft x 8ft x 8ft, or 3.05m x 2.45m x 2.45m.
You can comfortably store the contents of a 1-2 bedroom flat or house, or two full transit vans, or between 100 and 150 storage boxes.
This self storage unit is available at all our Corby, Bury, Buckingham, St Ives, Petersfield and Huntingdon locations. They’re a great alternative to other expensive storage firms.
160 sq ft storage unit
This bad boy is the biggest storage unit of them all, coming at 20ft x 8ft x 8ft, or 6.096m x 2.45m x 2.45m.
It will comfortably hold everything from a four-bedroom flat or house, or the contents of six transit vans, or between 230 and 260 storage cardboard boxes.
It too is available for lease at all our self storage sites.
Double-decker storage unit
We said earlier that no two customers are the same, in response to growing demand for extra storage space, we also offer upper floor storage.
You can lease one of our 60 sq ft self storage units at our Bury, Corby, St Ives and Huntingdon locations, while our Buckingham site provides 80 sq ft and 160 sq ft upper floor units.

What you can and can’t put in our self storage units
Each storage unit size at all of our locations provides the same robust, weatherproof homeowner, business or student storage, at affordable prices.
Having said that, there are items we won’t allow customers to keep in our storage units. The list includes:
- firearms or weapons of any type
- illegal materials or substances
- flammable, hazardous or explosive materials, including fireworks
- poisons or toxic substances
- foodstuffs or perishable items
- livestock
We also reserve the right to prohibit any other material or item that we deem a risk to you, any other customer or any member of our staff to be held in any of our self storage units.
Customer goods protection for our storage units
It’s at this point we’re proud to say we’re not just storage experts. We’ve worked hard to ensure our sites are of such a high standard that we can offer competitive cover to our clients for the duration of their storage contract.
We do ask that anyone who chooses not to use our insurance provides us with evidence that their belongings held in storage have some level of cover.
It’s always worth remembering home insurance policies only protect goods in your property – not when they are in storage.
