Measuring 8ft (h) x 8ft (l) x 5ft (w), this storage unit for rent is ideal for smaller items. It can easily hold 50-75 storage boxes – all those books from sixth form.
At 7.75ft (h) x 7.75ft (l) x 8ft (w), these storage units offer the equivalent space of one removal van, or 75-100 storage boxes. That’s easily enough for an entire bedroom.
Weighing in at 8ft (h) x 10ft (l) x 8ft (w), this unit will hold everything from a 1-2 bed house or flat, the contents of one Luton van, or 100-150 storage boxes.
Our biggest storage unit for rent is 8ft (h) x 20ft (l) x 8ft (w) and offers enough space for the entire contents of a 3-4 bed family house or flat, two Luton vans, or 250-300 storage boxes.

As far as the Blue Bear Self Storage service is concerned, there’s really no difference. Our minimum storage period is four weeks – enough time for a hike around Europe’s mountains or a jaunt to the other side of the world.
Because we impose no upper limit, you can store your personal belongings with us for as long or as little as you need. If you decide to extend your travels, that’s fine by us. It’s one of the reasons why using our storage service for travelling makes such good sense, no matter how long you plan to be away from the UK.
Although we ensure that ease of access to your travel storage is a priority at Blue Bear, there are many levels of security provided as standard at our UK self-storage sites.
Unlike the average attic or garage, the containers at our facilities are completely waterproof and have vents that ensure continuous air flow. Customers jetting off to foreign parts have used them to store items for months, whether they are electrical goods, designer clothes, record and book collections, or that solid wood table inherited from grandad. You can rest assured everything that goes into one of our self-storage containers comes out in exactly the same condition.
Each customer is given a high-grade padlock for their chosen travel storage units, which are further protected by a lock box. In addition, customers are pleased to discover that all our sites are kept scrupulously clean and well-lit. They are also security fenced with monitored CCTV and recorded gate opening systems. No matter the location, every customer can drive straight up to their travel storage unit, just as safe and secure as the items they store with us.
After deciding on either a short or long-term travel storage contract with us, you must arrange insurance for your possessions at your own expense. Alternatively, you can take up our enhanced liability protection service, known as StoreProtect, offered at a competitive price. It is an extension to our standard contract and allows us to accept liability for loss or damage to your goods under certain circumstances.
It’s worth noting that there are restrictions for some items. It covers jewellery, watches, furs, fine art, beers, wines, and electrical items, among others. There are no hidden extras when it comes to storing with Blue Bear: the self-storage prices for all our facilities include VAT at 20%. Plus, customers looking to travel don’t have to pay a deposit for short-term storage containers using a padlock, but they are required on units with a standard door where we supply a key. Here’s a quick example: a customer interested in our Corby self-storage site and requiring an 80 sq ft container would be quoted a weekly cost of £17.25, including VAT. We will even save you money: the longer you store your belongings with us, the cheaper the travel storage cost becomes.
